Join us for a day filled with informative seminars on essential health topics like mental health, nutrition, and physical wellness, healthy cooking demonstrations to inspire nutritious meals, and engaging workout sessions for both adults and kids.

Take advantage of vital health services, including a mammogram mobile unit, blood drive, and diabetes testing, while exploring a variety of vendors showcasing health and wellness products.

Throughout the day, we will be raffling gifts to add to the excitement! For everyone you invite who registers, your name will be entered even more times for a chance to win fabulous prizes.

Our Event Speakers

Candice Moore, NP, Family Nurse Practitioner

Candice Moore has been a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner since 2017, following a successful 9-year career as a Cardiovascular Critical Care Nurse. She is dedicated to improving the quality of life for her patients through compassionate care, education, and empowerment.

In her personal life, Candice is happily married to Isiah Moore for 11 years and is the proud mother of their 4-year-old daughter, Aslan.

Mrs. Moore will be discussing the essential concepts of health and wellness, including their definitions, the factors that influence them, and their significance in our lives. Join her for valuable, practical solutions that can transform our approach to living—focusing on thriving, not just surviving!

Bronwyn Lucas, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC-S, CCC)

Affectionately known as Ms. B, Bronwyn Lucas is passionate about inspiring others to realize their full potential. Of all her pursuits, making a difference in the lives of children, youth, and families is of paramount importance.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Certified Christian Counselor, Certified School Counselor, empowerment speaker, group facilitator, trainer, and educator, she wears many hats, all aimed at helping individuals reach their best selves.

Ms. B will be presenting on the topic of mental health with her session titled “Let Your Mental Health Thrive in 2025.” She will share practical tips to help participants understand and manage their mental health effectively.

Dr. Raulee Morello, M.D.

Dr. Raulee Morello is a Medical Doctor specializing in Breast Surgery and Breast Surgical Oncology. She currently provides services at Texas Breast Specialists, where the focus is on diagnosing and treating both cancerous and benign breast diseases and disorders.

Dr. Morello is a strong advocate for breast cancer screenings, including routine mammograms, emphasizing that early detection is crucial for effective treatment.

Adam Guidry

Mr. Guidry will be presenting on the essentials of nutrition in his session titled “Nourishment of the Soul.” He will discuss how good nutrition fuels the body, providing the essential nutrients needed to support brain function, muscle health, bone strength, nerve function, skin integrity, blood circulation, and immune system performance.

Additionally, Mr. Guidry will highlight the importance of proper nutrition in protecting against various illnesses and diseases, including heart disease, diabetes, cancer, and osteoporosis. Join him to learn how to nourish your body for optimal health and well-being.

LaVerne Ferrell

LaVerne Ferrell serves as a Wellness Coach, Mindful Meditation Instructor, and Independent Wellness Advocate (doTerra ® Essential oils). She is a strong advocate for providing motivation and support to help people achieve their health and wellness goals through natural remedies, mindfulness, and encourages them to work toward a healthy physical, spiritual and emotional life. She is also a former high school Counselor at Midlothian High school.


Other Event Activities

This section outlines the various health screenings and activities that will be available at the event:

Mobile Mammography: A mobile mammography machine, provided by Texas Health Resources, will be onsite for women to get screened for breast cancer. Screenings will be available from 9 AM to 3 PM, allowing attendees to arrive a bit early, during, or after the event for their screening.

Blood Drive: We will also be hosting a blood drive for those interested in donating blood. This initiative will help expedite the pre-screening process. Diabetes Pre-Screening: Diabetes pre-screening will be conducted by the New Life Fellowship Medical Team. This includes checking weight, blood pressure, and glucose levels.

Workout Sessions for Kids and Youth: Engaging workout sessions will be available for children and youth, designed to promote physical fitness and healthy habits. These sessions will encourage kids to stay active while having fun!
