Capital Campaign

What does that mean?!

For some, the capital campaign concept is completely new. It's a different way of thinking about spiritual growth and church expansion. With the new process comes a lot of new terms. Here are some definitions you might want to understand.

  • Capital Campaign - an organized plan that mobilizes our membership and friends of our church to make a sacrificial financial gift to construct our first church building and eventually our church campus, that is based on a spiritual journey designed to grow us in our faith, while emphasizing practical Biblical stewardship.

  • Commitment Sunday - the 1st day set aside for New Life family and friends to turn in their commitment cards detailing how much and how frequently they plan to contribute to the capital campaign over the life of the campaign - 3 years. Cards can be submitted anytime during the campaign as people are led to make commitments.

  • Celebration Sunday - the day the Pastor shares with the congregation the total commitments pledged to date towards the capital campaign.

  • First Fruits Sunday - the 1st day New Life family and friends who have decided to participate in the campaign will make their first contribution toward the campaign. It can be a portion of the total amount pledged or the entire amount. It's up to each person to decide what to give on this day.
