Pastor Pugh Invites Us to Remember Nehemiah

Pastor Pugh kicked off March '09 with a Capital Campaign update. Here are a few excerpts from some of his remarks:

We are nearing the final stages of construction and the completion of our first building! What an incredible journey it has been... Praise God, our multipurpose facility will allow us to begin expanding our ministries to the New Life Family and increase our outreach efforts to the surrounding community...

The Challenge

New Life Fellowship finds itself at a challenging moment. Like everyone else, economically, our congregation has been impacted by the financial tsunami that our country is experiencing. This unique combination of economic factors has the very real potential of negatively impacting our move-in date to our new building, which is scheduled for late summer 2009... But Scriptures show us that in challenging times, we see God work at another level and God also stretches His people even more during adversity, strengthening our faith in Him. "For they recognized that this work had been accomplished with the help of our God" (Neh. 6:16)...

To mitigate a possible shortfall at the end of construction, we have asked the families of our church to accelerate their current pledge commitments and for the next five months (March - July), increase their planned contribution to equal $1500, which will be sufficient to complete construction... In addition, I would ask that you keep New Life in your prayers. I will begin fasting every Wednesday until construction is complete. It would be a wonderful blessing if you would join me in prayer at some point in your day on Wednesdays...

How to Participate

Whether you are a member, frequent guest or simply a friend of New Life, you may participate in this 5-month challenge by completing a pledge card at church and placing it in the offering basket or by simply registering and donating securely on-line via the Donate to SoF link.
