In December 2003, Dr. Maurice Pugh and his wife Jackie witnessed a dream come true as a core group of 40 adults and children joined them in New Life Fellowship's 1st worship service (then known as South Arlington Community Church).
Pastor Pugh holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan and both a Master of Theology and Doctorate of Philosophy from Dallas Theological Seminary.
Prior to starting New Life, Pastor Pugh served as Associate Pastor of the 8,000 member church, Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship in Dallas, Texas where Dr. Anthony T. Evans is Senior Pastor.
Pastor Pugh serves as Senior Pastor of New Life Fellowship and his best friend Jackie, who also graduated from Dallas Theological Seminary with a Master's in Christian Education, serves as Director of the Children's ministry. Together, with God's guidance, they nurture and cherish their five children, as well as share their hearts with the New Life Fellowship family.
